PRACTITIONERS AT COPPER CRANE
All instructors at Copper Crane aim to bring you classes and sessions that offer engaging movement that challenges the mind/body connections. They are passionate about Pilates and what it can offer and will always strive to help every client feel comfortable and confident in the studio and and in their own bodies.
Laura has been practicing Pilates for over a decade. She was introduced to reformer Pilates, specifically, by a physical therapist, who recommended it as a way of strengthening her core following a car accident. She instantly fell in love with it, and has made reformer Pilates part of her almost daily routine.
Reformer Pilates not only improved her strength and flexibility - it also changed the way she carried herself, helped her connect to her body, and gave her a way to center herself. Laura, who had experience in both the Stott and Balanced Body methods of reformer Pilates, decided to further her practice by enrolling in Balanced Body’s Reformer Instructor Training. She is studying under Master Instructor Maria Leone, and has completed the majority of the reformer Pilates curriculum. Laura previously taught a TRX class at a local fitness center, and is excited to find herself working with students again, exploring Pilates instruction as a second career.
After recovering from a hip fracture, Madeleine fell in love with Pilates as a way to reconnect with her body through movement and healing. This journey inspired her to share the transformative benefits of Pilates with others.
She is currently pursuing a comprehensive certification through Balanced Body, building on her foundation as a Balanced Body-trained instructor. Her teaching style blends classical and contemporary approaches, aiming to empower clients to achieve strength, balance, and mindfulness in their movement practices. Whether you’re new to Pilates or a seasoned practitioner, Madeleine is excited to guide you on your journey to improved movement and overall well-being.
When she is not teaching, you can find her exploring the outdoors, reading fantasy novels, or spending time with her two beloved dogs, Maverick and Sunny
